Yard Sale!

We had our adoption yard sale in the back barn at our church on April 30th and May 1st. We've been asking for donations and clearing out our closets for close to two months. The result was a massive amount of items! We had two work sessions prior to Thursday April 29th. Our community group came to our home and sorted, priced and hung up clothing.

On Thursday before the sale we hauled everything to the church in a moving trailer and a large 15 passenger van with all the seats taken out. This is what the van looked like!

We set up all day Thursday and it looked awesome. Why, oh why, can't I find the pictures I took?

We sold about $900 on a beautiful Friday! Then on Saturday, it rained - well it did more than rain - it flooded. We were in a covered building, but I use that term very loosely. Leaks were popping up everywhere. We even had to use some item that were for sale as drip catchers. One of our workers brought in a few towels and a bath mat from her car to help dry up some areas and someone bought them. hahaha!

We finally called it a day and made our way slowly back home as some of the roads were flooded out.

But God is good and even though it was the start of the worst flooding Nashville has ever seen, we still made our goal of $2000 raised for our sweet Evan!
