Today we got the request from our agency that Russia is concerned that we will not be able to handle two special needs children. Really? I thought that by having one child with a special need means we probably understand more than most about what it takes to raise another child with Down syndrome. It's not like we will be surprised by anything and we also know what were getting ourselves into (which they don't understand will be the greatest blessing ever)!
What we really wanted to say was, "Let's take 3 of your children in the orphanage and put them up against our 3 kids and we'll see who is faring better." BUT we didn't, instead we had to present a parenting plan and a list of all of the resources that are available to us.
Now it's sit and wait...
